Doing Our Part

Sustainability is an ongoing process, as scientists, manufacturers and governments find new ways to balance commercial success with environmental and social impact. We contribute to this effort with advanced research and education, helping other manufacturers reduce their ecological impact.

What Does "Sustainability" Mean?

The term "sustainability" means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

What Are Sustainable Or Green Products?

Sustainable or "green" products are those products providing environmental, social and economic benefits while protecting public health, welfare, and environment over their full commercial cycle, from the extraction of raw materials to final disposition.
