Composite decking contains mixtures of plastic, wood, waxes, and/or other materials. With such a mash-up of material, this product is difficult to dispose of at its life's end. The materials can't be economically sorted out and reconverted in a recycling process.
Worse, many consumers find that their wood-plastic composite (WPC) decks have stained or molded and must be removed far, far earlier than expected. That means even more non-recyclable, non-reuseable material in our landfills.
RENEW Plastics, a division of N.E.W. Plastics Corp., produces EVOLVE® PVC-Free plastic lumber. Made from 100% high density polyethylene (HDPE), this alternative decking material is completely recyclable. We'll even recycle it ourselves.
